Who are Brilliant Nappies?

Family RowlandMy name is Debbie, I live in Milton Keynes, and am mum to Daniel (born in 2003). My cloth nappy story starts when I was pregnant and my husband suggested that we should use washable nappies. I was initially sceptical (as I remembered folding terry squares for my younger brother, and having nappies soaking in a bucket!), but I agreed to give it a go.

Once Daniel was born, I started using the nappies and was soon converted. I was surprised by how easy they were to use. I originally thought you had to be a supermum to use them, but that simply wasn't true. When Daniel was 9 months old, I started working as a real nappy advisor for Lollipop, and had a chance to try out a whole range of new nappy systems and to offer advice to other parents who wanted to use them on their own babies.

Until 2010, I continued to work for Lollipop, building up a network of contacts with health visitors, midwives and local organisations. I have established good relationships with local councils including Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire County, Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Luton, and have helped them to promote cloth nappies, set up incentive schemes and provided them with some nappy trial packs. I was the Lollipop County Leader for Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire for the last 2 years of my time with Lollipop with the opportunity to develop my own team.

However, in 2010 I felt that the time had come to 'go it alone' and set up my own company, Brilliant Nappies, offering the same great advice and customer service that was expected with Lollipop, but also offering more independence and flexibility to add different products to my range.

I am looking forward to an exciting future with Brilliant Nappies!
